The History of  Nestretto

NESTRETTO comes from the espresso named RISTRETTO, it is a short shot of espresso made with the same amount of ground coffee like the espresso but the extract time is half and the amount of water use also is half. Nestretto is found by FUMIKI CHONG & CHAN GIAO WEI, it all started in early 2014 where Mr. Fumiki has this hobby and keen interest in coffee, serves his own recipe of coffee towards his relatives. The drink receive good praise from the relative and so began the ambition and interest in owning own coffee shop. According to Mrs Chan or closely known as Ah Wei, she said if there is an empty shop in the area Taman Chukai Utama, Kemaman then it will be great. Not long after that a friend of hers called and said that theres gonna be an opening since a shop over there change place and ended their rental contract. Thus began the journey of opening the stall, Fumiki Chong or prefer to be call as Uncle, planned with Auntie/Ah Wei, for 2 whole week the store concept and else, while 2 more weeks they take to look for suppliers. After that uncle and auntie went to KL and cruise through the cafés in KL. They research the coffee shop over there and found the element they need in their coffee shop, right after the trip they began the building up of the café.

    

Then came to 22/11/2014, the official opening date for NESTRETTO, has the logo of an African native people. The logo inspires by native African where it is said that good quality Arabic coffee beans also comes from the Africa. In searching for the fit logo for the café uncle search through the net and one fine day he had browse through the web looking pictures of native African and while he was on his way to slumber land he got a vision of the head of native African therefore the logo came to life. The green color of the logo is because the green itself is a striking color that also easy to remember and cheerful. As the café began to operate, the café itself bring a new meaning to coffee in kemaman as we are the first coffee shop ever to exist in Kemaman. Bringing a new culture to this small local town of Malaysia. 

    Nestretto with its own vision to be the 1st café ever to focus mainly on drink only which is established by local Kemaman. The famous Nestretto Caramel Latte is a drink that is fixed by Uncle himself. A taste brought from his humble house to the café so that other could enjoy the lovable taste of the drink. With zero experience in Food&Beverage world uncle try his luck in this line of business with the establishment of NESTRETTO.

    In the café everything we gave to the customer we gave them the best quality so that they would feel very benefit in having drinks in the house. We act as a self-service café so that customer can remember and be closer to the barista. The beans used as the heart of the operation is Javanese coffee beans imported directly from the Sumatra Island and then roast here in Johor. The flavors used, is supplied directly from overseas such as Japan and Australia and others. All product are organic 100%, no animal fat or chemical involve in the making process of the product. We choose to be organic for it is the better cause for the customer’s health. Why we serve only take away cup, is because we want to be specifically hygienic for the take away cup would not be reuse while the ceramic cup is use over and over again. 

    NESTRETTO mission is to be an affordable, high quality, clean and satisfactory café. So that every cent spent here is worth it, from the product to the service and to the environment, everything accumulates to one point, total satisfaction.
